Tough Jock Davey was a hard bastard alright. He was once sent off for puching an opponent. When asked why, he replied, "He
took Oscar out, so I put one on him" - calm as you like. Supported Rangers up there and Chelsea down here, so I thought he was alright.
Nice fella though and loved to leave his foot in. Heplayed in the centre of midfield and there he stayed - solid as a rock, occasionally moving up to
hit thunderbolt shots that were mostly off target. Left after the Awards Dance in 2000 to move back to work in Jockoland with his family.
