John HAGGER (1987-2000):
Hagger is also known as "FB2" "Fat Bloke" "Johnny Hotrod" "Big Tits" and many more.
This is because of the mans bulk and nothing else. He was not always like this and there
photos and video film to prove if. His position was left midfield and was probably one of the most skillful players
the Club has had. Unfortunately, a talent mostly wasted. He was in the A Team's championship team of 1991 nad also a cup
winner the following season. He did not deliver in the B's 1998 Cup final and claims injury and a lack
of match fitness was to blame. Match fitness? when did he ever have that?
John's contribution in midfield was valuable as he always pitched in with an average of 8 goals a season. A natural and deadly left foot
was always a danger in dead ball situations with wicked inswinging corners and blistering free kicks. A good Clubman and I can't ever remember him
not turning up for any of our Dances/functions and normally brings people with him.
Josh HARRIS (1997-99):
Josh was a really fit midfield player who never really fulfilled his potential at the Club. He was part of the A Team squad that lost
the 1998 Cup Final. He vanished at the end of the season only to re-appear when least expected. Played a few more games and when we thought he was back as a
regular, he vanished again. Nobody has seen him since.
Jeff HARRIS (1982-85):
Signed from the Alma, 'Arris played only a couple of games and was installed as captain. This wirey centre half was a typical Sunday morning footballer, hard and abusive.
He demanded to take all the penalties and he scored them too. Never thought twice about mouthing off to anybody and never missed an opportunity to give the opposing
striker a dig in the ribs.
Left the Club because of the way Ron Ashley was running things, despite committee decisions.
