Edwin DEBOISE (1992-96)
Eddie joined us from Southgate as a B Team centre forward and although he did well, was soon taken up to the A's where he was top scorer in 1992-93 season with 15 goals. Eddie also
bagged himself a winners medal in the Division 3 Cup Final against St Pauls in the same season. Very nice man, always brought thousands of his family to the Club dances increasing the Club coffers
when others just attended alone. Left the Club to work up north.
Tony DENNEY (1981- Now)
"TD" joined the Club at the beginning of the 1981-82 season from Champions Seaton as a striker. Scored on
his debut against Bethune despite losing 3-6. Ended that season with 15 goals and as top scorer. TD also took the B Team top scorer trophy
12 years later with 12 goals helping them to promotion to Division 5 - the highest the B's have been.
He has played in every position on the field and on the committee except Treasurer. He has also managed
both teams, leading both to Cup Finals alas losing all three. Runners up in Division 6 with the A's in 1988-89,
only missing being Champions after the League deducted points.
Holds Club record of 137 consecutive appearances as well as most games until a road accident and serious injury ended his playing
career prematurely. Played a few games in 2000-2001 season as well as a hanful of appearances as sub.
David DENNEY (1981- 82)
Younger brother of TD, he also scored with a header on his debut in a 3-1 win. Dave only made a handfull of appearances
for the CLUB and was only a player to be called on when we were short of players. Scored 2 goals in 6 outings.
Leigh DENNEY (2000 - )
Leigh signed up to play after training regularly as a junior for 4 years. He is in the process of discovering his best position,
apart from sitting in front of a computer on Napster. At the time of writing he has scored 2 goals for the B's. Leigh hopes to emulate his Dad
and become Top Scorer. He should do, as he has much more skill and pace than his Dad ever did. Scored 4 goals in his first season - missed millions.
Matthew DEDMAN (1997-98)
Matty joined us after his former team Dagmar Arms folded. We were glad to get him as he was a proven striker. He ended his only season with us as the A's top scorer with 23 goals.
He was famous for the lads singing "Ohhhh! Matty Dedman, went to Wanderers and he won fuck all" to him. Great lad though and although we tried hard to keep him, he wanted to play at
a higher level. He was a tall powerful centre forward with pace and good skill, I should know - I played aginst him many times. He said that he would like to come back one day......
Glen DRING (2000 - )
Joined the Club as a youth player, attending training regularly before signing on in June 2000. Dringy is a skillfull central midfield player and
is one of the new young players encouraged to join the club in the new century. Scored a couple of goals at the time of writing - should score more.
Glen needs to practice at releasing the ball sooner on occasions. If he is not careful, he could get the nickname "The Crab" as he tends to pass sideways instead of forward.
Micky DWYER (1980-82)
Joined the Club in 1980 and was a snappy left sided midfield player. However his nefarios dealings off the pitch
led to his lack of availability and thus sporadic appearances.
